"I'm Jesse," he offered with what he hoped is his best disarming smile, his hand held with just enough energy to offer it or not. You never knew whether the man standing in front of you wanted to maintain that personal distance. Which, of course, often translated to 'you're beneath me, hotel staff scum". But that's okay, Jess didn't need the approval of the many as long as he stayed in the good graces of the few. There were those who enjoyed their concierge to be hands on. Very hands on. He'd learned those skills long ago, just as he'd learned to pretend he didn't have them.
